Something Peculiar

Well, I had the urge to go back up on campus and try to get some more pictures. I wandered around for a little while and then I came across this interesting object. Still not sure what it is but it was kinda cool so here are a few pictures of it. If you look close in the reflection, you can see the Old Main building. I might have to go back and try a different angle I seen yesterday when I was walking to class. Anyway, enjoy!

A Little Frosted

Last night, I finally got off my butt to go out and take some landscape pictures. I can't really remember the last time I have taken some so it was exiting........and freezing! I had been wanting to take some pictures up on campus for some time now and with all the fog that moved back in last night, I thought it might be a good time to git up there. We all hopped in the car and ran up there. I am not sure what the temperature was but with the inversion and working with an aluminum tripod, my hands sure got a little frosted. The trees all had a nice coating of frost themselves from the freezing fog so I thought it made for some good shots. I didn't get as many different shots as I wanted to, but it was just too dang cold. Anyway, enjoy!

Kaysha's First Birthday

On the 23rd of December, our friends baby girl turned one. For this, they wanted to make a chocolate cake and let her have at it all the while having me take pictures. Sounds messy and fun, especially for a one year old. The photoshoot turned out good in my opinion and we got some great pictures from it even though Kaysha didn't get too crazy with cake. Afterward, we tried to get some cleaner pictures but Kaysha was a little to excited to sit still so maybe we can try that again later. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites. What do you think?

Happy birthday Kaysha!

Another Photoshoot of Little Laynie...

Tonight we finally got a chance to take some photos of Laynie in her Christmas Tutu. She had a blast most of the time. As you can see below, the flash had her a little ticked at some points. Rapid flash blasts gets to you I guess. Sorry Laynie. We love them and think they turned out great. What do you think?

Full of mischief...

I know she must be thinking, "Flash me one more time and I'll..."

Oh the bright lights...

...a few more

Not real sure about all this picture taking. If you enlarge the picture, you can really see her blue eyes.
Decided that this photo stuff isn't so bad

Laynies photoshoot

I have been wanting to take some photos of Laynie for a while but have been so busy with school. I finally had a little time so we set up a little "ghetto studio" and did what we could with our one flashgun. Trying to bounce enough light from one flashgun to three different angles is a little tricky but they look good I think. Could have used a little more fill light on the one side though.

She likes to lean on the backrest of the couch so I figured we ought to take a few pictures. Don't worry, we were close by to keep her from going over.

Getting set up

Little Bundle Of Joy

Schools been keeping me very busy but I have managed to take a few pictures since my last post. I did family pictures for the Andersons from Mayfield a few weeks ago and finely got a break to get them all processed. It was a fun photoshoot and I thought we took some nice pictures. I was pretty happy with the results and hope they are too. You can look at all of them on my flickr page.

I have been wanting to take some more pictures of Laynie that isn't just at spur of the moment snapshot since we sat her down to take some around the 4th of July. Its been quite a while and we finally had a chance to take some. We ran up on the hill to get a picture of her in the fall leaves and managed to take a few but she was ready for a nap before too long and our photo session was cut a little short. That's alright though. Here are some that we took and also one that was a quick snapshot.
